Following on from the success of her TikTok comedy series for Modibodi, FINCH has made it official by launching Arundati Thandur on the roster.
Her work for ModiBodi picked up a slew of awards around the globe. This awards season, on top of winning Best New Director at Ciclope Global, LIA, and Adfest, Thandur’s work has been recognised at The Cannes Lions, YDA, AICP, D&AD, Ciclope Asia, AWARD Award, Spikes, and 1.4. This also includes a win for Greatest Creative Campaign at the TikTok Australia Ad Awards.
This year she’s directed a campaign for XXXX aimed at a new generation of beer drinkers, and with her latest work she brings her idiosyncratic style to other major brands.
There’s no such thing as an overnight success, and Arundati’s approach was honed over years spent shadowing established directors on commercials while making music videos and shorts. Her work has an effortless style and humour that belies a fastidious approach to visualising the ad in preproduction.
