Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 7 is finally here and that means there’s going to be a slew of new watch bands to choose from, and we’ve rounded up some of the best options to help you find one that fits your style. There’s something about accessorizing your watch to meet the demands of your style that just feels good. Whether it’s something leather that blends in with nearly everything, or a band made of soft fabric that’s nice and casual.
Samsung tends to offer a lot of different options for its watches and there are generally some pretty good third-party options too. That also means there can end up being so many options it can feel overwhelming to pick through them. And that’s why we’re setting out some of the best ones so you have less to sift through. Also worth mentioning, is that the Galaxy Watch 7 is compatible with older bands that Samsung offers. With that said, let’s dive in and check out all of the best Galaxy Watch 7 bands that are available.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 Sport Band
This is the band you’ll get with the Galaxy Watch 7 if you order one, and to my surprise, it’s one of the most comfortable bands I’ve used on a smartwatch. It’s certainly the most comfortable sport band Samsung has ever produced and for that reason, it’s easily one of the best options for the new Galaxy Watch 7. That being said, you might be asking why this band is on the list if you already get one with the watch itself.
The answer is that it comes in multiple colors. I like all the colors of the band and I could see myself switching between them. And I know I’m not the only one who thinks this way. Sometimes you want to accessorize with what you’re wearing and one color might be better for a specific outfit. All together, Samsung offers the band in Dark Gray, Silver, Cream, Green, and Orange.
Outside of color accessorizing, the Sport Band uses Samsung’s new one-click button attachment system which makes it super easy to attach bands and swap them out. Plus, the little ridges in the band make for a nice little bit of airflow to help keep your wrist cooler than some bands might. Additionally, the Sport Band retails for just $50 so if you’re going to accessorize with multiple bands, this one is great because it’ll cost less than some options. This band comes in the small/medium size and the medium/large size. So just about everyone should have no issues with this band fitting.
If there’s any downside to this band at all, it’s that it isn’t available in enough color options. Other than that, this is an excellent option and a must-have if you like to exercise a lot. Because it’s not going to soak up sweat and it’ll be quite comfortable while you’re working out.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 Fabric Band
While the Sport Band is great for active uses in addition to everyday wear, the Fabric Band from Samsung this year is excellent for casual everyday wear. It uses the same one-click system to attach to the watch lugs as the Sport Band (as will all the bands from Samsung now), but the clasp is magnetic. This makes it so much easier to fasten the watch to your wrist than the Sport Band that uses the T-Buckle. And it’s a big reason why I’m still such a fan of the Magnetic D-Buckle sport band that Samsung made for the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.
I love the Sport Band that comes with the Galaxy Watch 7. But nothing beats a magnetic band clasp for me. Not only because it’s easier to fasten, but it’s easier to adjust too if you ever want to loosen or tighten the band a little bit.
The fabric is also extremely comfortable against your skin and that is especially so if you’re wearing this watch to sleep for the sleep tracking features. It’s also a bit slimmer than the Sport band which might not be to everyone’s tastes, but trust me when I say it’ll grow on you. Another neat thing about this band is that comes in slightly multi-colored options. The Green has some different shades of green in it for the fabric weave, and then there’s a White and Pink option as well as my personal favorite, the Wine color which is a nice deep shade of red with very subtle lighter shades woven throughout. Worth noting is that these colors are for the small/medium size. The medium/large size comes in Green, Navy, and White/Blue.
All-in-all, the Fabric Band is a really solid choice for a band if you want to keep your band purchases to Samsung’s offers, and it comes in at the same price as the Sport band which is $50. Not bad at all.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 Athleisure Band
Samsung’s Athleisure band for the Galaxy Watch 7 is the best of both worlds. It’s the band you go with if you don’t want to or can’t choose between the Sport band and the Fabric band. Designed in a NATO style, the Athleisure band has a silicone/rubber base with a fabric outer. It’s unique because it blends both the two previous bands together, sort of.
What really makes it stand out though is that it was designed to be extra long. This is so you can wear it over clothing if you want to. Think about any time you might go running or walking on a cold morning and you want to look at your watch for whatever reason. If you didn’t wear your watch over your clothing then you’d generally have to pull your sleeve up to look at the display. But you don’t have to worry about that here with the Athleisure band.
Sure this is a niche scenario I just gave, but I guarantee you it’s more common than you might think. Of course, this does mean you also wouldn’t be able to take advantage of the sensors. But you might not always need to use those or care about them working for the brief time you would wear the watch over your sleeve. Samsung also designed this band to have two loops to help make it extra secure while you wear the watch using this band.
It comes in several colors which are Green, Cream, and Pink in the small/medium size, and Green, Silver, or Sky Blue in the medium/large size. This band option is a little bit more expensive than the others, retailing for $70 as opposed to $50. But if that doesn’t bother you then this is still a very comfortable band to wear against your skin and the extra-long design is great for wearing over your sleeves.
Galaxy Watch Magnetic D-Buckle Band
This is still one of the best bands Samsung offers and thankfully, it works with the Galaxy Watch 7 because the attachment mechanism is the same. Samsung changed things up with the Galaxy Watch Ultra and how you attach those bands is slightly different, so none of the older bands work with it unless you find an adapter online to make them work. That isn’t the case with the Galaxy Watch 7, and that is both slightly surprising and an awesome confirmation.
I couldn’t find any definitive details about whether or not the old bands would work so I finally tried swapping the Magnetic D-Buckle band off my other watch once the Galaxy Watch 7 game in, and it fits just fine. The reason this is my favorite band is because as I mentioned above, it’s the simplest and most convenient band to use with the watch when you’re fastening the watch to your wrist.
A tiny latch on the underside of the band lets you feed one side of the band through a loop and once you have it as tight as you want it, you can push that latch down to lock it in place. Now all you have to do is slide the watch over your hand and onto your wrist any time you want to fasten it. Then simply fold the band back over itself and let the magnet latch the band shut and you’re off and running. The only downside with this band is that it can only be picked up in the medium/large size, and it only comes in two colors. Gray, and Black.
For those who need a small/medium size or prefer more color options, this probably isn’t the best band to go with. And that’s a shame because it’s so good. I’ve been using it since the launch of the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro which means it’s about two years old at this point, and it’s still working just like the day I got it with no damage or other issues. It is a bit more pricey at $80, but totally worth the extra money.
Galaxy Watch Milanese Band
This is another really solid band option from Samsung and it’s the perfect option if you want something that’s more well-suited to a professional or classy look. Metal bands are certainly heavier but they do go well with situations where you’re trying to dress up. Say, for a night out, or if you work in a very professional setting and you want to look the part. Of course, you can easily wear these with casual outfits too.
What’s nice about the Milanese band is that it also uses the same style of magnetic clasp as the Magnetic D-Buckle Sport band up above. You loop one side of the band through a small opening and then lock it down with a latch. From there, just like with the D-Buckle Sport band you slide the watch over your hand and close the clasp with the magnet to secure it to your wrist. Another really easy and convenient band to use with your Galaxy Watch if you don’t want to fuss with the T-Buckle and have to thread that little prong through the right hole.
There are of course some downsides to this band. Only the small size is available from Samsung. So if the small is too small for your wrist, then this option won’t work for you. It’s also only available in two of the three colors that Samsung made. You can pick it up in either Black or Gold. The Silver appears to be out of stock and Samsung’s website doesn’t really make it clear if it will be getting more in stock. Still, if you like either of the available colors and you need the small size, then this band will surely be an excellent addition to your Galaxy Watch 7.
And like the new bands that were released with the Galaxy Watch 7, this one (which released alongside the Galaxy Watch 6), it uses the one-click attachment. Just press the little button on the underside of the band when securing it to the watch lugs and let go once both are in place. Repeat for the other side and you’re all done. Just like with the clasp, this is a much more convenient, not to mention quicker, way to attach your watch band. And it should make things less of a hassle for you if you swap bands often.
Galaxy Watch D-Buckle Hybrid Eco-Leather Band
This band will be a lot like the last two in terms of the clasp since it uses the magnetic d-buckle system, but instead of silicone or metal, it uses a hybrid eco-leather for the material. While not genuine leather, it has that leather look and feel to it on the outer part of the band that can be a nice compromise to swapping back and forth between leather and sport bands for a watch.
This might be the one to go for if you don’t want to swap too often if at all, because the underside of the band that touches your skin is the same kind of silicone material you’ll get from the sport bands. So if you like how that feels while you exercise, this should be fairly comfortable for workouts. All while having that nice leather design on the outer part of the band for some added style.
This band is available in both small/medium and medium/large sizes which means there are lots of options with this one regardless of what size your wrists are. This band comes in six different colors but not all of them are available for each size. So depending on which color you like best, you should make sure the size you need has that color in stock. For example, the Indigo and Black colors aren’t available in the small/medium size. But you can get the small/medium size in Camel, Blue, Cream, and Etoupe.
At $80 it’s right up there with the pricing for some of the other bands that Samsung sells. However, there are leather bands out there that are made of genuine leather that may cost less money. They could also just as easily be a lot more money depending on the brand.
WITHit Silicone sport and stainless steel bracelet combo
First things first, this one was designed for the Galaxy Watch 6, but since the older bands from the Galaxy Watch 6 and even the Galaxy Watch 5 models will fit the Galaxy Watch 7, that should extend to this too.
The main reason we selected this band is because it’s kind of a really good bargain. You get both a silicone sport band and a stainless steel link bracelet band in one pack. Letting you effortlessly switch back and forth to fit the occasion. Wear the link bracelet to work or when dressing up for special outings, and slap the silicone sport band for casual day-to-day or workouts.
What makes this such a good value other than the fact that you get two band types in one package is that it costs $50 for both of them. That’s honestly really good for the price when you consider that Samsung is charging at least $50 for one band alone. Now, Samsung’s bands are great and some of my favorite bands are directly from Samsung designed specifically for its watches, but you can’t argue the value of this bundle from WITHit for the same price as some of Samsung’s offerings.
Especially with one of them being made of stainless steel links, so you end up getting both casual and classy dress-up looks in one. The only thing some might not like is that there’s only one color available, and that’s black. If you don’t like black for watch band colors as much, then this probably isn’t the option to go with. It also depends on what color of watch case you get. Black metal bands might not look that great with either of the two color watch cases that the Galaxy Watch 7 comes in. So that’s something to consider.
If that doesn’t bother you, however, then you can pick this band combo up from Best Buy. And it really is a steal.
Ritche Quick Release Leather Watch Band
This one is an old classic that’s been on nearly all our smartwatch band lists. And there’s a very good reason why. It’s high-quality. The Ritche Quick Release leather band is made with genuine leather and if you like the look of leather then you’ll love this band option for your Galaxy Watch 7. Leather bands, and leather products in general, tend to stand the test of time and last for a while. And it’s hard to put a price on something that has longevity like that.
But you can put a price on this band and luckily the price for these Ritche bands isn’t that high. In fact, it’s the least expensive option on this list so far. These will set you back a mere $20 on Amazon and the beauty with that is you can get the band in more than one color if there are multiple colors that catch your eye. Speaking of colors, this band comes in a ton of different options.
The one thing I want to mention is that this band is offered in a number of different sizes, and the 20mm size is the one you need for the Galaxy Watch 7. With that being said, the 20mm size may not have all of the colors available. However, there are several different color combinations to choose from and many of them will look nice with either color of the Galaxy Watch 7 watch case.
This does use a T-Buckle clasp so if you don’t mind not having the magnetic clasp then this is an excellent band option for your new watch. Plus, being that it’s made of leather, it should develop a nice patina over time. And the patina is the best part about a leather watch band because it’ll slightly change the look and color of the band the longer you own it.
Nylon Band for Samsung Galaxy Watch Series
I really love this next option because once again, it comes in numerous colors. This makes it perfect for anyone thanks to the amount of different color choices. At present it looks like there are 20 different color options in total. Ranging from greens to pinks and there’s even a multi-colored option or two in there.
The braided Nylon should hold up well over time and if it doesn’t, the band only costs $10. So you could easily replace it without having to spend too much money. If it does hold up over time though, then the less expensive $10 price tag just gives you more of a reason to grab a few so you have color choices to go with different outfits.
There are a couple of other things that makes this band choice a really good one. First, it has a similar one-click system to the one that Samsung is using on all of its newest bands for the Galaxy Watch series. This makes it super simple to swap out bands. It’s a little quicker than sliding back the prong like you have to do with some bands to get them into place between the watch lugs. It also uses a magnetic clasp to fasten the watch band around your wrist. And by now, you know how I feel about the magnetic clasps.
They’re just so convenient and again it speeds up the whole process of putting the watch on and taking it off.
Elastic Band for Samsung Galaxy Watch Series
Last but not least on our list, these elastic bands are pretty cool and it doesn’t really get much easier when it comes to putting on a watch. Simply attach the band to your Galaxy Watch 7 and then every time you want to put it on, all you have to do is stretch the band to fit over your hand and that’s it. No changing holes with the prong to make sure it’s tight enough or loose enough.
No readjusting the magnetic clasp like on the D-Buckle sport band if it’s not quite where you need it. Here’s another thing that’s really neat. These also use a similar one-click attachment system to Samsung’s. So swapping out bands is going to be a breeze and take just a few seconds. And that’s a good thing because these bands come in a 3-pack with different colors. Letting you have options for different outfits. Better yet, they’ll be available from around $10 – $13 depending on the color choices you go with.
The elasticity also makes for a great option for when you’re exercising as they shouldn’t be too abrasive against your skin or pinch your skin from all the movement like a metal band or bracelet might.
