Deal
This week’s Guitar Deals at Thomann include significant savings on products from Stone Deaf FX, Amptweaker, TC Electronic, Friedman, and Harley Benton.
Stone Deaf FX Rise & Shine
This Rise & Shine is UK pedal builder Stone Deaf FX’s latest effect, and Thomann is selling it for only €198. The pedal uniquely combines Octave Up Fuzz and Dynamic Octapulse Tremolo effects in one brightly coloured compact stompbox format.
5 Modes
With five modes (accessed by the Mode switch), including Standard, Momentary Octave, Momentary Bypass, Standard Division and Custom Division, there is a lot to experiment with here. The pedal has a nice, simple control layout consisting of Volume, Tone, Mix, and Fuzz, which belies its potential complexity and makes it fun to use.
Amptweaker Curveball Junior
The Amptweaker Curveball Junior pedal is currently down to €129 and offers many great features for the money. It contains an active three-band eq and a boost in one compact unit and can be used to work your amp.
Voicings
A switch offers U.S., U.K., and Thrash midrange options, and the Tight circuit has a three-position switch that is used as an input booster to tighten up the attack of your amp. It has settings for Fat, Normal and Tight, giving players plenty of ways to tighten their amp.
The double-function footswitch can be pressed for EQ and held to access the boost mode.
TC Electronic DC30 Preamp
This TC Electronic DC30 Preamp pedal is currently at €99 on Thomann. This blue stompbox offers players two channels that emulate the much sought-after 1965 Top Boost AC30 combo amplifier.
Celestion Cab Sim IR
The pedal features controls Normal, Brilliant, Level, Bass, Treble, and Cut, along with a dedicated Channel footswitch and a Boost footswitch. Other critical design elements include the built-in Celestion Cab Sim IR and the DI output.
This Ampworx series pedal is perfect for both stage and studio.
Friedman IR-X Dual Tube Preamp
The Friedman IR-X Dual Tube Preamp is a powerhouse pedal for guitarists looking for modded British amp tones. Thomann currently has it for only €498, which is an excellent price for this unit.
Its design is based on two 12AX7 tubes for authentic amp tones. It features dual amp channels, each with a dedicated set of controls. These include Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble, Volume, Boost Volume, and Boost Gain.
DSP-IR
The icing on the cake is Dave Friedman’s DSP-IR speaker/power amp simulation which allows this pedal to integrate into every setup without any fuss. It offers great amp tones in a portable, flexible unit built like a tank.
Harley Benton Split Screen
The Split Screen is Harley Benton’s digital/analogue dual reverb and tremolo effect in one pedal and is priced at only €39.
It has an analogue optical tremolo effect and three reverbs: plate, church, and studio. Each effect has a dedicated footswitch.
Controls
The Split Screen has controls for depth, bias and speed for the tremolo section and mix, tone and decay for the reverb section. There is also a three-way switch for the effect order and an effect-only mode.
