The microphone manufacturer Soyuz has a reputation for design innovation, but the 013 Ambisonic takes things in an explorative new direction. With immersive audio formats ever on the rise, this microphone opens up the possibilities of 360-degree recording.
Soyuz 013 Ambisonic
Using four 25 mm 013 series capsules, the 013 Ambisonic delivers unmatched depth of tone and dynamics. This allows you to capture performances with more realism than before, and the four toroidal transformers impart character and warmth to any sound source.
To incorporate your recordings into different formats, the 013 Ambisonic mic includes a plugin bundle co-created by Audio Brewers. From within your DAW, you can configure your recordings for standard stereo and headphones, as well as surround and atmos formats.
With the Soyuz transcoder, you have a basic processor for integration of the 013 Ambisonic mic with low-latency monitoring. Meanwhile, the Ambisonic decoder plug-in gives you more controls for adjusting the source position within the 3D sound field. From the four input channels, you can then mix the signal for a wide range of formats.
