One of Australia’s best production companies Revolver capped off a huge night last night after being awarded runner-up in the Palme d’Or for the second year in a row.
The Palme d’Or, presented to the most awarded production company at Cannes Lions, was awarded to Smuggler, USA. Third spot was Uncharted Limbo Collective, UK.
Revolver and The Monkeys won the coveted Film Lions Grand Prix last night for Sydney Opera House ‘Play It Safe’. Revolver managing director / executive producer Michael Ritchie and executive producer / partner Pip Smart were there to accept the award with Tara Ford, chief creative officer, growth markets (APAC + LATAM), Accenture Song and Mark Green, lead – Australia & New Zealand, Accenture Song.
Earlier in the week, Revolver won the Film Craft Grand Prix with Tony Petersen Film and HeimatTBWA Berlin for Hornbach ‘The Square Meter’.
