To launch Domino’s limited-edition Pepperoni-Roni pizza, which has 150% more pepperoni than a regular pepperoni pizza, Havas Malaysia ‘pepperoni-fied’ Domino’s iconic logo by replacing the three white dots on the domino tile logo with pepperoni slices.
The ‘pepperoni-fied’ logo was first seen on the signage of Domino’s store in Subang Jaya, and possibly in many more outlets soon.
Passers-by who spot the pepperoni slices will get to buy the limited-edition pizza for 50% off by showing a picture of the ‘pepperoni-fied’ Domino’s logo to a staff member.
The ‘pepperoni-fication’ continued on social media with Domino’s turning the Highlights section on its Instagram page into a long row of peperoni slices. Those who are pepperoni-crazy enough to scroll to the end will be rewarded with a special offer.
Domino’s also challenged fans to put their love for pepperoni to the test with a game on Instagram. They were asked to message Domino’s with the Pepperoni Pizza emoji, then tap on the emoji to reveal a hidden paddle game. Score 15 points and you’ll get a free pizza, score over 50 points and you’ll win a year’s worth of pizzas.
