Ever since Apple introduced its AirTag, a digital tracking device, more brands like Samsung are coming out with their own tracking devices. Motorola is next in line. Its upcoming Moto Tag, a tracking device, has been listed on the UAE’s TDRA certification website before its official launch.
Motorola’s upcoming tracking device listed on TDRA
As per the report by MySmartPrice, the upcoming Moto Tag has been certified recently on the UAE’s Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) certification website. As per the website, the model number of the gadget is XT2445-1. It is listed under the organization name of the parent company Lenovo. Motorola is mentioned in the form of manufacturer.
The certification doesn’t provide any details about the gadget. Additionally, there are no prominent leaks or rumors available on the internet. Therefore, it’s almost impossible for us to comment on anything related to it.
Moto Tag will give fierce competition to Apple AirTag
As of right now, there are only two major brands that manufacture and sell tracking devices on the market. Samsung and Apple almost have a duopoly in the market. But this is going to end soon as Motorola is also coming up with its tracker device, the Moto Tag.
Well, apart from Samsung and Apple, there are a bunch of regional players that manufacture tracking devices as well. However, the global presence of these brands is not as huge as compared to Samsung and Apple. This whole market situation right now not only increases the competition for Moto Tag but for other brands too.
We need to wait until we learn more about the specifications and features of the upcoming Moto Tag before making any judgments. It will also be very interesting to see if it utilizes the Find My Device network or has its system to function.
