Slowly but surely NVIDIA has been bringing Activision Blizzard’s games back into the fold with GeForce NOW, and as of today that includes World of Warcraft. You may remember from years ago that many Activision Blizzard games were in fact available on GeForce NOW. This was several years ago when the service was still in early beta. However, Activision requested that its games be pulled from the service and didn’t renew its contract to keep the games playable.
Things changed with the Microsoft acquisition of Activision Blizzard, as part of its agreement to appease regulators included a deal with NVIDIA to include some of its games. This started with titles like Hearthstone, Overwatch 2, Diablo IV, Call of Duty, and then finally a few games from the legacy Diablo and StarCraft franchises. One of the final holdouts was Blizzard’s biggest game. World of Warcraft. The globally popular MMO that for a time, was one of the most popular games on the planet.
Make no mistake, this is a big day for GeForce NOW and for World of Warcraft fans. Players now have a way to stream the game in the cloud from even the most bare bones of laptops as long as they have an internet connection. And with maxed-out graphics settings no less if they’re subscribed to the Ultimate membership.
GeForce NOW gains three World of Warcraft titles
Whether you play Horde or Alliance, Night Elf Druid, or Goblin Rogue, all of Azeroth is welcome in the cloud. Today’s addition of the World of Warcraft series includes three of the franchise titles. Players can stream World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, which is the main game through its latest expansion. Then there are two Classic options – World of Warcraft Classic and the recently launched World of Warcraft Cataclysm Classic.
Chances are, that GeForce NOW will eventually include the upcoming The War Within expansion as well. Not to mention any new Classic releases. This isn’t confirmed of course. But NVIDIA has done this with Elder Scrolls Online and all the new patches for Genshin Impact. So it stands to reason it’ll happen with WoW as well. Now if you’re not into World of Warcraft, NVIDIA is bringing a total of 17 games to the service this month.

World of Warcraft isn’t everyone’s cup of tea and that’s perfectly ok. The good news is that there are other games joining GeForce NOW this week. Four more games in fact, including Rogue Prince of Persia, a new release that came out on May 27. There’s also Capes, Lords of the Fallen, and Soulmask. As for the rest of the games coming in June, there are 10 more. This includes Autopsy Simulator, Chornobyl Liquidators, Sunnyside, Still Wakes the Deep, Disney Speedstorm, Farm Together 2, Resident Evil Village, Star Traders: Frontiers, Street Fighter 6, and Torque Drift 2.
Outside of the new games, if you’re an ESO player, you can obtain a reward for subscribing. Ultimate and Priority members will get a free in-game mount from the GeForce NOW rewards program. You have to be opted in to get this. So make sure to do that. You can claim the mount today too. Free members will also get this reward starting on May 31.
