OnePlus Nord 4 & Nord CE4 Lite get Bluetooth SIG certification

Posted on

A new certification suggests that the OnePlus Nord 4 and Nord CE4 Lite will arrive soon. The Nord 4 had previously appeared in BIS and Geekbench listings. Their latest entries confirm details such as the Bluetooth version they will support and their model numbers.

It is expected that the OnePlus Nord 4 will be a powerful device focused on performance. However, it will be cheaper than the current OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R, more like a premium mid-ranger. The device would actually be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 3V launched in China in March. On the other hand, the Nord CE4 Lite will be an affordable mid-range device with decent specs.

Bluetooth SIG certification for OnePlus Nord 4 and Nord CE4 Lite suggests an imminent launch

According to a 91mobiles report, both the OnePlus Nord 4 and the Nord CE4 Lite passed the Bluetooth SIG certification. The Nord 4 is listed with the model number CPH2619. This particular version would be destined for India. Versions for other regions would have different model numbers. On the other hand, the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite is identified with the model number CPH2621. Both will support Bluetooth 5.3.

The more powerful Nord 4 had appeared on Geekbench, revealing some key specs. That listing practically confirmed that it would be an international version of the OnePlus Ace 3V. This is good news, as it means that the mid-range segment is about to receive a competitively priced powerhouse.

Some OnePlus Nord 4 expected key specs

If the leaks are true, the OnePlus Nord 4 will be powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset. This SoC is quite similar to the powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, but with reduced speeds and a less powerful GPU. In comparison, the Nord 3 was powered by the Dimensity 9000 chip. On paper, the Nord 4 would be a little more powerful, as well as more energy efficient.

The unit listed on Geekbench featured 12GB of RAM (probably LPDDR5X). As a potential international version of the OnePlus Ace 3V, it would also be equipped with UFS 4.0 storage. So, you can expect flagship-level performance on this device. It will probably also stand out in battery life with a 5,500 mAh cell. Lastly, it would support 80W fast charging through its USB-C port.

The phone would be built around a 6.74-inch AMOLED display with a 1,5K resolution. Its 120 Hz support would ensure a smooth experience, while up to 2,150 nits would make it easier to see the screen even in the sun.
