Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is getting a global variant on June 6

Vivo announced two immensely compelling foldable smartphones earlier this year. They were announced in China, but at least one of them is getting a global variant. The Vivo X Fold 3 will get a global variant on June 6.

The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is getting a global variant on June 6, it’s official

This is official news, by the way, as Vivo announced that the launch will happen on June 6 in India. The company specifically mentioned the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, not the regular Vivo X Fold 3. That’s a shame, as even though the ‘Pro’ model is more powerful, the regular one is considerably lighter and also thinner.

Vivo is using ‘The Best Fold Ever’ caption for this launch event, while both ZEISS and AI have been mentioned in the company’s official poster. You can check out that image below.

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro global launch announcement

Considering that the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro already launched in China, we know exactly what to expect out of the global model. It will almost certainly have the same specs, but a global version of Vivo’s software, Funtouch.

This is one of the most powerful foldable smartphones out there at the moment

This smartphone is fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It comes with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The device has an 8.03-inch main display and a 6.53-inch cover panel. Both of those are 120Hz OLED panels, and both have an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner underneath.

A 5,700mAh battery sits inside the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro. It’s a silicon carbon battery, by the way. The phone supports 100W wired, 50W wireless, and 5W reverse wireless charging. A charger is included in the box.

A 50-megapixel main camera is backed by a 50-megapixel ultrawide unit (119-degree FoV), and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera (3x optical zoom). ZEISS is a part of the package, by the way.

It remains to be seen in what other countries will the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro arrive. India will break the ice with the first global model, though, that’s for sure.
