Studio Deals
No matter what level your home studio is at, there are always areas to be improved. This is why we’ve selected a range of exciting offers on audio interfaces, microphones, mixers, and more.
Don’t forget, this year Thomann celebrates its 70th Anniversary with a wide selection of deals. You can shop the sale by following this link. Meanwhile, let’s have a closer look at the Studio Deals currently available:
Universal Audio Volt Series
The Universal Audio Volt Series is a range of budget audio interfaces with some useful features for home recording. They are USB bus-powered, with 24-bit 192 kHz recording capabilities and direct monitoring.
In addition, the mic preamps have a useful vintage mode to introduce character into your recordings. Furthermore, there’s a built-in 300-ohm headphone preamp and MIDI I/O, so you can connect to a range of headphones and peripherals.
Until 31 May, when you purchase and register your Volt interface, you get the UAD Essentials Edition free. This includes plug-ins like the Teletronix LA-2A Leveler Collection, the Pultec EQ Collection, and more.
Genelec 8030C
When it’s time to upgrade your home studio with more professional monitoring, the Genelec 5030C is a formidable option. The bi-amplified nearfield design uses a 5-inch woofer (50W) and a 0.75-inch metal dome tweeter with Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW) technology.
In addition, there is the implementation of a 3000 Hz active crossover system and effective protection circuits. Moreover, the die-cast aluminium construction has a reflex port on its rear panel along with a switch panel to access the DSP EQ functions.
Here, you can find the bass roll-off, bass, and treble tilt, as well as a desktop setting that reduces 160 Hz by 4 dB. Overall, the 8030C is a great monitor for its size, with amazing clarity in the vocal range.
AKG C214
The AKG C214 is a nice entry point into a historic range of large-diaphragm condenser microphones. Its 1-inch evaporated-gold dual-diaphragm capsule is based on the famous CK12 which was used in legendary mics like the C12 and C414.
The cardioid C214 is ideal for home recording situations, allowing you to capture detailed recordings. Furthermore, the C214 can handle up to 156dB SPL and it has switches to engage the -20dB pad and 160 Hz high-pass filter.
The C214 will achieve great results on vocals, acoustic guitars, amp cabinets, and percussion instruments. Meanwhile, the mic ships with a shockmount and wind shield in a protective carry case.
PreSonus StudioLive AR Series
When you need to connect up the gear in your home studio or rehearsal space, the PreSonus StudioLive AR Series is a great option with up to 24-bit 96 kHz recording via USB and 24-bit 44.1 kHz via SD card.
In addition, the AR Series offers aux sends for external effects and creating monitor mixes. Meanwhile, the internal digital effects engine provides 16 algorithms including delay, chorus, echo, and multiple reverb types.
Besides the channel count, the key feature upgrade on the AR 12c is the fact that it has parametric midrange EQ bands on channels 1-4. This is extremely useful when dealing with vocal mics, so keep this in mind.
Elektron Analog Heat +FX
The Elektron Analog Heat +FX is a powerful analogue distortion unit with a 24-bit 48 kHz built-in audio interface and a range of versatile performance-orientated digital effects.
Furthermore, there are eight different distortion types, a multimode stereo filter, and a 2-band EQ. Equally, on the digital side, you have effects like delay, chorus, reverb, compression, and more.
Besides MIDI and USB connectivity for linking the Analog Heat +FX with other gear, the unit also has extensive modulation capabilities with three LFOs.
