Well, Google has released probably one of its most controversial products to date. This is the new AI Overviews feature that the company announced during Google I/O. Well, if you want to disable AI Overviews, there’s a handy Chrome extension you can use.

Yes, you heard that right! You have to use a Chrome extension to disable AI Overviews, as Google did not offer a native way to disable the function. If you have a Google account, chances are that you’re seeing AI-generated search results, and that is not sitting well with most people. The company has been flooded with requests to disable the feature, but it has yet to acknowledge this.

Obviously, many people whose businesses rely on ad revenue from web traffic do not like this feature at all. It poses a major threat to their income, and undoubtedly, many of them will have to shut down because of this.

You’re going to need to install the Chrome extension Hide Google AI Overviews. If you’ve never used Chrome extensions before, it’s simple to install it. Once you click on the link, you’ll be taken to the extension’s homepage. On that page, click on the Add to Chrome button you have near the top right of the screen.
