Deal
This week’s Guitar Deals at Thomann include savings on ESP LTD, Electro Harmonix, Gibson, and Epiphone products.
Gibson SG Standard
These Gibson SG Standard Ebony offer classic SG styling in that all-black aesthetic, which looks badass. They also currently have €300 off the standard price, which is a significant saving on this USA-built model. These are great guitars, and they cover a lot of ground with a variety of classic guitar tones on offer.
Rock Monster
The SG Standard is a classic rock and metal guitar that can play blues and more. It is powered by a pair of Gibson 490R and 490T humbuckers, which are great all-around models with plenty of grunt when required. My SG is one of my favourite guitars, and these ebony models are very tasty, especially at this price.
Epiphone SG Standard Alpine White
If you can’t quite justify the Gibson above, then the Epiphone SG Standard Alpine White model could be the way forward. It offers the same classic style as the Gibson at a fraction of the price, and it comes in Alpine White that looks ace! Thomann has €70 off on this model at the moment.
Alpine White
Apart from that excellent Alpine White finish, this model features a pair of Alnico Classic Pro Humbucker pickups. It has all its American sibling’s classic looks and tones, just at a more affordable price.
ESP LTD TE-401 BLKS
This ESP LTD TE-401 BLKS model is down 15% and offers a modern blacked-out version of a T-style guitar with twin active humbuckers. It is designed for modern players who need high-performance specifications and playability.
EMG 60 & EMG 81
It is outfitted with EMG 60 and EMG 81 active pickups, a single volume and tone control, and a three-way selector switch. This model has a fixed bridge with string-thru construction and a set of Grover machine heads, which ensure rock-solid tuning stability.
Electro Harmonix Soul Food
The Electro Harmonix Soul Food overdrive pedal is currently $71/£68/€79, just under 30% off the standard price. It is a Klon-style ‘transparent drive’ that offers a nice boost for your guitar signal and works exceptionally well into a tube amplifier.
Simple yet effective
The simple volume, drive, and treble knob control layout are perfect for quickly dialing in significant boost and overdrive tones, making this overdrive a well-regarded effect pedal that appears on many guitarists’ pedalboard rigs.
Electro Harmonix Satisfaction Plus Fuzz
Another great current saving, is on the Electro Harmonix Satisfaction Plus Fuzz, down to $79/£76/€88, just under 20% off the normal price for this pedal.
This 1960s-voiced fuzz pedal has classic tones and features some useful modern tweaks to the design. Thanks to these updates to the fuzz circuit, it covers a lot of ground. It also stacks nicely with the Soul Food pedal above.
Fat & Bias
The pedal features a Fat mode that provides bigger, warmer tones and a Bias control to tweak it from smooth to brittle. It has control kobs for Volume, Attack, Tone, Bias, and the Fat/Normal switch. The Tone stack on this fuzz is a Tilt EQ, so it controls both highs and lows.
