The Blackview BL9000 Pro is the company’s new rugged smartphone with thermal imaging tech, and it’s now available. Blackview says this phone is the “world’s first highest-resolution FLIR Thermal Imaging 5G rugged phone running on Android 14”. That’s a mouthful, but you get the point.
The Blackview BL9000 Pro handset comes with FLIR’s thermal imaging tech
FLIR is a well-known company when it comes to thermal imaging. This smartphone uses the latest FLIR Lepton 3.5 unit. The phone offers temperature alerts, picture-in-picture mode, and exclusive support support for the Teledyne FLIR Mobile SDK. On top of all that, the MyFLIR Pro app comes pre-installed here.
The Blackview BL9000 Pro boasts a thermal imaging resolution of up to 160 x 120. That’s a huge improvement over its predecessor. Blackview also teamed up with VividIR to ensure sharper and more precise infrared imaging.
MediaTek’s chip fuels this phone, while an 8,800mAh battery is also included
The MediaTek Dimensity 8020 SoC fuels this phone. The device managed to score 805,428 points on AnTuTu. If you utilize virtual RAM on this phone, you can get up to 36GB of RAM. The device includes 12GB of physical RAM. You’re also getting 512GB of storage here.
The phone includes an 8,800mAh battery and supports 120W wired charging. It can be fully charged in only 53 minutes despite that huge battery, says Blackview.
DokeOS 4.0 comes pre-installed on the phone, and it’s based on Android 14. Blackview says that there are a ton of improvements to the UI. This version brings a handy magnifier for small text, copying and pasting text, images, and videos are simplified, while the EasyShare app allows high-speed file transfers.
The phone features a 6.78-inch fullHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. A modern Gorilla Glass protection is included here, and dual Harman Kardon speakers are also on offer.
A 50-megapixel main camera is included, while this is a rugged device
A 50-megapixel main camera sits on the back, and it includes the ISOCELL GN5 sensor. A 13-megapixel ultrawide camera is also included on the back, and it doubles as a macro camera. A 50-megapixel unit sits on the front.
This smartphone is IP68/IP69K and MIL-STD-810H certified. It is not only water and dust-resistant, but it can take a hit as well.
