Omnicom Media Group (OMG) Indonesia has promoted Managing Partner at PHD Indonesia, Rohan Mahajan, to Chief Operating Officer – Media Services. He oversees a 300-strong team across OMD, PHD, Transact, and Annalect and continues reporting to Rajat Basra, CEO-President Director, OMG Indonesia.
The promotion speaks to Mahajan’s business acumen and innate commercial strength, which have enabled him to play a crucial role in growing the agency network’s business and successfully nurturing client relationships since joining in 2017.
Mahajan’s elevation comes as OMG Indonesia is ranked the #2 media agency network in Indonesia by RECMA, proof of its achievements.
Tony Harradine, CEO, Omnicom Media Group Asia Pacific said, “OMG Indonesia has been experiencing year-on-year growth, as evidenced in RECMA’s latest report, and Rohan’s role in the network’s success has been instrumental. Indonesia, with its dynamic economy, presents a unique growth opportunity for OMG in the region. With this elevation, we are confident Rohan will be able to continue this momentum at a group level and guide clients through this evolving media landscape.”
“Rohan’s journey to this point, growing through the ranks, has prepared him well for this moment. The joy of seeing someone start his Omnicom journey first at OMG India, migrate to Indonesia on a growth task, and take the helm after six years of consistent performance is unparalleled. Rohan will not only strengthen the OMG Indonesia media services network but also create the conditions for all our clients to meet and exceed their goals and ambitions, with the best talent, experience, practices, and know-how,” said Basra.
Over the past decade, OMG Indonesia has transformed its offerings to help clients navigate through the evolving media landscape and reach greater heights. This was achieved through precise and strategic calibration of its talent, tools, technology, and consumer understanding from a demographic, behavioural segmentation, and psychographic perspective. In his new role, Mahajan will ensure OMG Indonesia’s best practices are deployed across agency brands.
Driven by his passion for technology, Mahajan began his career in consulting with a focus on digital media. Over the years, he leveraged his digital expertise and accounting servicing skills to deliver relevant, effective, and innovative hybrid business solutions for clients.
Mahajan said: “It is an exciting time for OMG not only globally but here in Indonesia too. We’re celebrating our 10th anniversary in Indonesia being named the fastest growing Media Agency Network in Indonesia and as per RECMA’s latest report, we are ranked second. This is surely a testament of a decade-long strong leadership by our Indonesia Board of Directors, a very stable ecosystem of satisfied clients and industry best talent that makes OMG Indonesia a network with a difference in the market. Our clients, talent, and partners keep aiming higher and that opens award-winning possibilities.”
“I am ready to be at the forefront and lead this advancement, acting as a catalyst for the consistent and comprehensive roll-out of our offering everywhere.”
