The Vivo X100 Ultra got certified in China, claims MySmartPrice. The site spotted three model numbers over at 3C Authority. The model numbers are V2366GA, V2364A, and V2362A. The first one allegedly belongs to the Vivo X100 Ultra, while the other two are reserved for the Vivo S19 and S19 Pro phones.
A report says the Vivo X100 Ultra got certified, but that may not be the case
This certification listing confirms that the first model will support 80W wired charging. Now, all of this is a bit weird. Why? Well, for two reasons. First, the Vivo X100 Pro supports 100W wired charging, so we’d expect at least the same to be offered on the ‘Ultra’ model.
The second reason is even more important… the Vivo X100s series seems to be coming. The Vivo X100s got leaked by GSM Arena exclusively, and it’s rumored to arrive with two other ‘s’ series phones, including the ‘Ultra’ model.
It’s unrealistic to expect Vivo to launch both the Vivo X100 Ultra and Vivo X100s Ultra. There is, of course, a chance that those two will be the same devices, but named differently in different markets. The thing is, the Vivo X100s that leaked looks a bit different than the Vivo X100 phones.
The Vivo X100s Ultra could launch instead
This is all rather confusing. If Vivo opted to lower the charging output to 80W from 100W, that’s something we’d understand. There are a number of reasons why the company may opt to do this. The Vivo X100 Ultra and Vivo X100s Ultra puzzle is still there, though.
Either way, both of those phones have been rumored to launch next month. In fact, the company’s exec even confirmed that a new ‘X’ flagship is coming in May. So… there you have it.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is rumored to fuel the device, while a 6.78-inch Samsung E7 AMOLED display is expected too. The phone will offer a Sony LYT-900 main camera sensor, and up to 4 cameras overall. A 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera is also rumored.
