With the Shure MV7 Plus, new DSP technology allows features like voice isolation, automatic gain leveling, plosive reduction, and much more.

As you’d expect from the industry-leading broadcast microphone manufacturer, Shure has knocked this one out of the park. While the MV7 quickly established itself as a new standard for podcasting and content creation, the MV7+ goes even further.

For those who aren’t familiar, the MV7+ is a broadcast cardioid dynamic microphone with a design inspired by the industry standard SM7B. However, it includes a range of connectivity and signal-processing functions to streamline your content creation workflow.

More Information

For starters, the USB-C connection allows you to use the MV7+’s 24-bit 48 kHz recording capabilities on desktop and mobile platforms. However, with Shure’s new MOTIV Mix desktop app, you can access auto gain leveling, isolate voices from each other, illuminate background noise, and apply different EQ settings.

Meanwhile, the MV7+ also has a Digital Popper Stopper function to reduce plosives and increase speech intelligibility. In addition to the MV7+ DSP features, the ShurePlus MOTIV Mix app can also mix up to five input channels and create custom monitor mixes.

Overall, the features of the MV7+ could come across as gimmicky from any other manufacturer. However, the degree of control you have with the ability to add different reverbs as well as the access to features that will surely cut down on post-production sounds exciting.

Pricing and availability:

The MV7+ is available for order from Thomann, and it ships in black currently, with the white variant following soon along with the MV7+ Podcast Kit.

MOTIV Mix beta version is currently available as a free download from Shure. Furthermore, MOTIV Mix compatibility will follow soon for the MV7 and MVX2U.

Today’s content creators and streamers want to stand out from the crowd. Be it through their setup or through their own specific sound. The MV7+ is our answer to this and at the same time takes our popular MV7 to the next level. It delivers outstanding audio quality in any environment and offers a wide range of customization and control options. The many DSP functions and the new MOTIV Mix desktop app make the MV7+ incomparably flexible and intuitive to use. This allows artists to give free rein to their creativity.
