The design of Huawei’s new smartwatch is inspired by space rockets. The device in question is the Huawei Watch 4 Pro Space Exploration edition. That smartwatch went on pre-order in China for CNY4,999 ($691), even though it didn’t technically launch yet.
Huawei has a new smartwatch, and its design is inspired by space rockets
Some of you probably already know that this is just a special edition of an already existing watch. The Huawei Watch 4 Pro was launched a while back, and we also reviewed it at the end of last year.
Huawei did share plenty of info regarding this watch. There is a ceramic bezel on it, and sapphire glass with a diamond-like coating is there to protect the screen. Huawei claims that it’s very tough.
This smartwatch also comes with a titanium bracelet. You can see that it’s dark gray in terms of color, but it also has dark red accents on the front. It actually looks quite appealing from the design standpoint.
This smartwatch does support Ultra Wide Band (UWB). It’s compatible with the Aito M9 car, which was co-developed by Huawei. It can unlock it, control it via voice input, and more than that.
It supports eSIM, offers 5 ATM rating, and has 13 health indicators
This watch also supports an eSIM, and it has 13 health indicators for more precise health reporting. It is also 5 ATM rated for water resistance and weighs 68 grams. There is a 1.5-inch 466 x 466 AMOLED display included on the front.
It’s compatible with Android 8.0+ and iOS 13+ devices, while its battery life is advertised for 4.5 days of use. If you end up using the battery saver mode, that battery can last up to 21 days.
This smartwatch doesn’t offer as good of a battery as the Huawei Watch GT 4, but it’s still better than most other offerings in the market. We’re not sure if this watch will become available elsewhere, it remains to be seen.
