The Korg modwave MKII improves on the predecessor with nearly twice the polyphony – and it’s now on sale! Other fantastic synth deals are coming from Elektron and Intellijel Designs this week.
Save over 15% on the Korg modwave MKII
The Korg modwave MKII synthesizer offers the same powerful wavetable engine as the successful first edition (read our review here). However, Korg has given the synth a generous polyphony upgrade. Instead of the original modwave’s 32 voices, the Korg modwave MKII pumps out up to 60 stereo voices – plenty of room for lush pads or busy sequences. They’ve also added additional LFO modes and a flashy red touch pad – modulate in style!
Everything else stays true to the proven design. With Motion Sequencing 2.0, KAOSS Physics, and no less than four envelopes and five (!) LFOs, the Korg modwave MKII lets you modulate and sequence the wavetable action to your heart’s content.
The Korg modwave MKII wavetable synthesizer is on sale at Thomann* for just $711 /£675 / €777 – about 15% less** than the list price!
Intellijel Designs Cascadia: A sound designer’s dream!
One of Thomann’s synth deals of the week is the mighty Intellijel Designs Cascadia. The semi-modular desktop synth is a sound designer’s dream with two analog oscillators, thru-zero FM, and eight filter modes. Moreover, the synth also does wave folding, ring modulation, sample&hold, slew limiting, envelope following, and pretty much anything else you could ask for. In addition to an ADSR envelope and a 3-channel LFO, there’s a versatile function generator for modulation. And did we mention the countless patch points?
Whether you’re just getting your feet wet in modular synthesis or you’re a seasoned modular veteran looking for a powerful extension for your rack, the Cascadia has got you covered.
The Intellijel Designs Cascadia is on sale at Thomann* for $1999 / £1935 / €2218.
Elektron Octatrack MKII Black: Everyone’s favorite performance sampler
The Elektron Octatrack MKII needs no introduction. With eight stereo audio tracks for sampling and eight MIDI tracks for controlling external gear, it runs more electronic live sets than any other hardware machine. You can sample on the fly, mangle samples using the Octatrack’s massive sound design, slicing, and modulation features, and add effects for sweetening. And then there’s the famous Elektron sequencer, which offers everything you could possibly want for building loops and tracks during a performance – including a resampling feature. It’s simply one of the most powerful sample-based performance machines available!
The Elektron Octatrack MKII Black is on sale at Thomann* for $1359 / £1285 / €1479.
