Apple Watch SE (2022) is Apple’s budget offering in the smartwatch space, and if you’re interested in grabbing one, you’ll be happy to know that you likely won’t have to pay full price. While there is a good direct discount that will knock off some of the prices, you can also get some good trade-in offers as well. There aren’t any options for getting one for free, although you can get two for the price of one.
The most recent Apple Watch SE, like its predecessor, strips out many of the bells and whistles of the higher-end models and offers just the essentials. It still includes support for WatchOS 9, including the new workout and sleep-tracking features that arrived with the latest operating system update.
The second-gen Apple Watch SE is cheaper than the previous model, too, starting at $249 for GPS only, with cellular-enabled models retailing for $299. In the past, we’ve seen the entry-level model go as low as $200, so bear that in mind when considering current pricing. We’re keeping tabs on prices across all the major retailers and bringing you the best Apple Watch SE (2022) deals below.

Best Apple Watch SE (2022) deals
There are currently some decent deals on the Apple Watch SE 2 at Amazon, including the midnight color variant of the 40mm model for just $189.
Order your 2022 Apple Watch SE direct at Apple from $249. You’ll also score three months of Apple Fitness Plus with your purchase. If you’ve got an old Apple Watch to trade in, you could get as much as $365 off your Apple Watch SE purchase — though you’ll be looking at between $80 and $110 if you’re handing over the previous-gen SE or something like an Apple Watch Series 5 or Series 6. Don’t forget to use your Apple Card to get 3% cash back, too.
Best Buy is offering a $50 discount on most SE models, which isn’t much, but you can save some cash if you’ve got an older smartwatch to trade in. The most advanced models will net you up to $90 in trade-in credit. You’ll also get four free months of Apple Fitness Plus with the purchase, which is a month more than Apple gives new Apple Watch owners.
Target is offering $50 off the price of the SE 2, though not all sizes and colors are available, so you’ll have to check to see if the one you want is in stock. Also, Target RedCard holders can get 5% off the current-gen SE, which amounts to up to $12.50 off the entry-level model, along with three free months of Apple Fitness Plus if you’ve yet to try the service.
Verizon isn’t offering any straight discounts right now, but if you trade in your old device, you can knock $180 off the cost of your new Apple Watch SE. Just note that you’ll need to have a service plan for this device to get the deal.
Picking up an Apple Watch SE from AT&T? You can trade in your old phone, tablet or wearable to get credits on your bill. Values will depend on what you’re trading in and what condition it’s in. Though it’s also worth noting that AT&T has pretty limited configurations to choose from at the moment. Also, if you choose to buy two Apple Watches and add a new line, you can get $300 in bill credits over 36 months.
