Ferrari has revealed a new one-off creation. which was designed specifically to their client’s specifications, the Ferrari SP-8 and the car is based on the Ferrari F8 Spider and it certainly looks interesting from the photos.
This unique creation, a mid-rear-engined V8, draws its foundational elements, including its layout, chassis, and powerhouse engine, from the esteemed F8 Spider. The SP-8’s introduction cements its position among Ferrari’s most distinguished offerings.
The vehicle’s moniker pays homage to its 3.9-litre V8 twin-turbo engine, a powerhouse celebrated by critics and crowned with the esteemed Engine of the Year (IEOTY) accolade for four consecutive years. The individual who commissioned the SP-8 is from Taiwan, adding significance to the number 8, which in Chinese tradition symbolizes prosperity, success, and achievement.
What sets the SP-8 apart is its roofless design, truly encapsulating the essence of a pure two-seater roadster. This design choice accentuates its athletic nature, promising an unfiltered visual appeal and an unparalleled open-air driving sensation. To ensure this design did not compromise on acoustic comfort and wind sensation, a meticulous blend of CFD simulations, wind tunnel assessments, and on-track evaluations was conducted, ensuring a driving experience reminiscent of its inspirational predecessor.
