Amazon announced that Amazon One’s palm payment technology is coming to all of its Whole Foods stores in the US, and that’s over 500 stores nationwide, and this will be expanding from the existing 200 stores.

The technology allows users to use their palm to pay in stores and also to access Prime member benefits and more, you can find more details about the technology below.

First-time Amazon One users can Pre-registration online With their credit or debit card, Amazon account, and mobile phone number, the process takes about a minute. They can then complete the registration process in seconds by scanning the palm of their hand on an Amazon One device the next time they visit a participating Whole Foods Market store — or wherever Amazon One is available. Once enrolled, Amazon Prime members will automatically see savings and other Prime member benefits applied to their purchases at Whole Foods Market. Alternatively, customers can also register for Amazon One in store on their Amazon One device using their credit card and phone number.

“We’re always looking for new ways to delight our customers and improve the shopping experience,” said Leandro Balbinot, Chief Technology Officer, Whole Foods Market. “Since we’ve introduced Amazon One in Whole Foods Market stores over the past two years, we’ve seen that customers love the convenience it provides, and we’re excited to bring Amazon One to all of our customers across the United States.”
