Meta launched their new social media app recently, and the app has become incredibly popular gaining more than 100 million users in about 5 days, and now the first software update for the app has been released.
The news of the update was announced on the topic site by Cameron Roth, and you can see what’s included in the update below.

– 🔧 Some small crash fixes. We are now at 0.02% 📉
– 🔪 More binary size cuts
– 🐞 Bunch of other small insects
Updates are pushed server-side, so you’ll need to restart the Thread app on your device to see these new features, and it may take a while for the new features to reach everyone.
Threads is a direct competitor to Twitter and Meta has taken advantage of Elon Musks’ mistakes with Twitter and introduced an alternative app that people will want to use, it will be interesting to see if this new social media app is more popular than Twitter.
