Google News Gallery launches in the US

Google announced that it will launch the Google News Showcase in the United States. It was originally launched in 2020. The feature will finally be launched in the United States. Google has collaborated with more than 150 news publications.

The new news gallery will display the latest stories from about 150 publications, many of which are local or regional news publications, and you can see more details from Google about these below.

Later this summer, we’ll launch News Showcase in the US, partnering with more than 150 news publications, 90% of which are local or regional. Our US News Expo partners are located in 39 states and include publications such as the Duluth News Tribune of Minnesota and NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune in Louisiana, Oaklandside, La Opinion in California, La Raza in Illinois, The Orlando Weekly in Florida, and global and national publications such as The Associated Press, Bloomberg, El Diario, Reuters, The Wall Street Journal, and many more.

We first launched the News Showcase licensing program and product experience for news organizations in 2020, and have since expanded to 22 countries globally with over 2,300 participating publications.
